Margaret is a Melbourne-based game designer who has recently been working as a junior game designer at Hipster Whale, who delivered Crossy Road. Margaret was a member of IGDA-Foundation virtual exchange recipient as a Scholar in over 500+ applicants. Margaret graduated from the Master of Animation, Games and Interactivity at RMIT University and has developed some local multiplayer games as well as participated in The Playable City Brunswick, a part of the international project - Playable Cities. Recently, Margaret has shipped her first F2P mobile game title.

Margaret worked as a UI and graphic designer in an e-learning development company despite her scientific educational background. As the company developed e-textbooks for primary and secondary students, Margaret worked on illustration and typesetting for the textbooks, textbook content related mini-game design, production of animations, editing of the demo videos, content design for the textbook, composing animation script and UI design for some applications.

Margaret has been a gamer since she was young and playing games is an important part of her life in both the social and entertainment aspect. While working on the projects of designing textbook related mini-games, Margaret realised her career interest in the games industry. Margaret wants to make games that bring happiness to the players and manipulate her knowledge in the scientific field to make serious games that turn the learning experience into an interesting process. Her passion and determination to work in the game industry brought her to Melbourne and started her study at RMIT with a focus on game design.

Margaret is always eager to learn and hopes to become a game designer to produce appealing and challenging games for the players some days in the future.
